Hukka Höyrykivet Sauna Stones

While traditional sauna stones let the water evaporate on the surface of the bricks, these steam stones feature small holes. These holes collect water like little wells along with the aroma concentrate as well, if you use it. The water remains there gradually warming so that the vapours and scents can evaporate into the air slowly and continuously.

Mother Nature gave soapstone mythical capabilities to withstand the harsh, Nordic environment. It can handle equally well hot fire or the freezing cold. It is capable of accumulating both heat as well as cold. And it stays warm or cold for a long time. This is one of the unique characteristics of Hukka products.

Each of these Höyrykivet steam stones has four holes with a capacity of about 0.4 dl per hole.

What does höyrykivet mean?
höyry means steam and kivetä means stone, therefore höyrykivet is the word for steam stone. They are ideal to use in combination with sauna aromas because the scent remains in the wells for a while and evaporates slowly. This package includes two steam stones. If you do not want to use the steam stones fo infusion, you can fill them with water right at the beginning so the water slowly evaporates during the sauna session and provides a constant humidity.
