The sustainable product is a popular choice not only for its particularly stunning colour and durability but because of the quality and fineness of its grade. During sauna construction, it is blind nailed from the groove side which hides the nail head for a flawless finish.

Our Thermo timbers are created in Finland by heat-treating soft timber. During the process, steam is used as a protective gas and helps to prevent the aspen from splitting and becoming damaged. The intense heat deeply dries the aspen to its core as moisture is removed. It means the finished product doesn’t react to humidity changes as prominently as untreated aspen. The risk of shrinkage, swelling and cracking is reduced.
