The Sauna Trio that was built for the London Festival of Architecture in the summer of 2022 has travelled to Dover seafront, inviting people to experience the Finnish sauna culture with all its associated health-benefits.
The design is inspired by the London tube, whilst the construction respects traditional sauna building methods. The sauna is located near the swimmers statues and is available for booking until the end of the week.

The Sauna Trio was created in a collaboration between architectural students from the School of Architecture + Cities at the University of Westminster and the renowned Finnish architect Sami Rintala, in association with the Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland. As a result, a unique trio representing the Finnish sauna culture was formed.
The trio has all the elements you would find in a traditional Finnish sauna: a shower area, dressing room and of course the sauna itself. The three sections can be arranged in a variety of ways to suit different spaces and areas. A one-of-a-kind sauna experience for the public to enjoy.
The Sauna Trio will be located by the Dover Seafront until February 19th. You can find information on the event on the Dover Town Council site.
