The STS3 Respect profile is a modern, sustainably crafted aspen cladding for sauna walls and ceilings. Each board carries a 2 mm face of high-quality aspen over a lamellar core made from production by-products, a construction that improves stability and extends the life of the raw material without compromising durability or finish. Distinctive narrow square grooves let STS3 sit comfortably alongside our other profiles where you want contrast in the room. Each pack contains six boards at 15 × 120 mm, giving an effective width of 110 mm, in 2100 mm or 2400 mm lengths. We recommend treating the boards with paraffin oil, which slightly deepens the colour of the wood.

Timber
Aspen is the lightest sauna timber we offer, with a uniform, straight grain and few to no knots. Its colour ranges from light brown to nearly white, and it does not weep resin, which is one reason for its popularity in home saunas. For a bolder scheme, aspen mixes well with a darker timber.
Profile
The STS3 Respect profile has distinctive narrow square grooves and sits comfortably alongside our other cladding profiles where you want contrast in the room. Each board carries a 2 mm face of high-quality aspen, with production by-products used for the bottom of the board. The lamellar structure improves stability, extends the lifespan of the raw material and allows a more flexible range of dimensions than traditional manufacturing.
Quality & Wastage
This aspen cladding is A-grade: durable, knot-free and with a low risk of splintering. We recommend a wastage allowance of 15%, which also covers any damage that can occur in transit. Contact us if you are unsure how much your build requires. As a natural product, timber shows some colour variation between packs and batches, and the general sauna wood grading standards apply.
Installation & Care
The boards are straightforward to fit and well suited to a DIY sauna build. An Installation and Maintenance Guide is available under the Downloadable Files tab. We recommend treating the wood with paraffin oil, which slightly deepens its colour. Lifestyle images are representational only; the finished look will vary with the width and placement of the cladding.
Ordering & Delivery
Timber orders travel on a palletised service and may require a kerbside drop; shipping costs vary with order size and between UK Mainland, Highland and Island postcodes, and are calculated at checkout. We normally ship lengths up to 2400 mm, as longer lengths cost significantly more to send. If we do not stock your required length, our cutting service can trim a longer board down for a small fee: you purchase the full length and the off-cut travels on the pallet.
