Description
The HUUM HIVE Wood is a wood-burning sauna stove that takes the ancient craft of the sauna stove to a new level, with HUUM’s minimal Nordic design and a large stone mass for a soft, long-lasting steam. The 13 kW model holds up to 90 kg of stones and suits sauna rooms of 6–13 m³, while the 17 kW model holds 130 kg and heats 8–16 m³. The stove’s most heat-stressed component, the flame tamer, is made from 5 mm stainless steel for exceptional durability, and the stove is treated only with natural oils, without harmful chemicals. Both models connect to the chimney through a 115 mm flue; sauna stones and the flue kit and chimney parts are sold separately, and a 17 kW LS tunnel version fired from an adjacent room is available as a separate listing.

Installation
The stove connects to the chimney from its top outlet (115 mm diameter) using sealed metal flue pipes, and may only be connected to the chimney by a specialist. It requires its own dedicated flue of temperature class T600 with a minimum cross-section of 10,200 mm² and a minimum draught of 12 Pa; a shared flue with other appliances is not permitted. Minimum clearances to combustible materials are given per model above, plus 1,200 mm above the stove; a single heat barrier halves these distances and a double barrier reduces them to a quarter, and a stove set in a non-combustible niche still needs 100 mm for air movement. The stove stands on a non-combustible base at least 60 mm thick, and installation must follow the manual in the Downloads tab, EN 15821:2010 and local building regulations.
Sauna stones
The 13 kW model takes up to 90 kg of stones and the 17 kW model 130 kg, sold separately; any natural granite or purpose-sold sauna stones are suitable, while ceramic stones may shorten the life of the stove. Wash the stones before laying them.
