This luxurious bespoke indoor sauna installation blends classic sauna elements with meticulous attention to fine details. Featuring a mixture of traditional sauna wood types with the beautiful warm hues and natural aromatic fragrance of Western red cedar, a robust IKI Pillar electric sauna heater, and a unique sunburst motif flowing through the glass line into the anteroom, the space is truly one of a kind.  

The back wall with the sunburst design feature continues from the anteroom into the sauna, creating a cohesive aesthetic, separated by the clear glass wall. 

Efficient IKI Pillar with Intuitive Controlling 

The heart of this approximately 2.5m x 2.5m sauna is the electric IKI Pillar 15 kW heater, enclosed in a wooden heater guard. IKI sauna heaters are recognised for their substantial capacity for sauna stones, which makes the “löyly” - the steam rising from the heater when water is poured on top of the hot stones- soft and pleasant to relax in.  

The 15 kW IKI Pillar Electric Sauna Heater can fit up to 250 kg of sauna stones, guaranteeing a pleasantly humid sauna experience. 

The sizable heater is controlled with HUUM’s UKU Wi-Fi controller with a stylish black panel, which is placed on the anteroom wall. Wi-Fi control allows our customers to conveniently set the sauna to heat up from their phones.  

Comfortable, Curved Benching 

The two-tiered Western red cedar sauna benching is designed to utilize the available space, accommodating up to eight bathers. Taller sauna visitors can also lie down on the top benches and relax in the pleasant, aromatic fragrance characteristic of Western red cedar. The rounded, wave-like design of the edges softens and counterbalances the linear shapes on the walls. 

The light-weight Western red cedar has a beautiful colouration with reddish-brown undertones, which works beautifully with the sunray pattern that continues from the anteroom into the sauna. 

Creating a Warm Ambiance with SAAS Sauna Lights 

The warm ambiance in the sauna is achieved with a combination of sauna lights from the Finnish lighting expert SAAS Instruments. The SAAS Highline Posh Sauna Glow ceiling lights provide a warm glow in the anteroom before you enter the sauna, where Highline Viiva strip lights are mounted into the walls, bench lips and backrests, accentuating the wood and creating a relaxing atmosphere. The rectangular window brings natural light into the sauna.  

Individual SAAS Highline Posh Sauna Glow Lights are installed on the ceiling of the anteroom. Highline Viiva strip lighting casts a soft glow on the back wall, drawing attention to the design element. 

Distinctive Design Elements  

A standout feature of this sauna is its seamless integration with the anteroom sunburst shape on the wall. The sunray effect is created with a mixture of alder, aspen, thermo aspen and dark thermo alder. The glass wall between the sauna and the anteroom allows you to see the wall design connecting the two rooms.  

The interplay of fine details, lighting, wood types, and the sunburst design culminates in a unique sauna space. 

The sauna also has an integrated, sauna-safe sound system.
