Thermory's ready-made alder backrest gives sauna benching a comfortable, considered finishing touch, and the module installs easily to complement your benches. Alder is a traditional sauna timber: light brown with warm pink undertones and a subtle scent of freshly cut hay, it carries a low risk of twisting and warping, does not overheat and naturally repels water. The backrest measures 310 mm wide by 28 mm thick and is available in 2050 mm and 2350 mm lengths.

Timber orders ship on a palletised service because of their size and length, with costs calculated at checkout; rates differ between UK Mainland, Highland and Island postcodes, and delivery may be a kerbside drop requiring goods to be handballed off the vehicle. We normally ship lengths of up to 2400 mm; longer lengths increase shipping costs significantly. If we do not stock the length you need but hold a longer one, our cutting service can cut it down for a small fee: you purchase the full length and the off-cut travels on the pallet.
