Description
The Thermory SI moulding is an aspen corner trim that finishes the inside of the sauna, covering the inward-facing corners where the walls meet and around the edges of the ceiling. Its small, rounded face sits tidily into the corners and conceals any gaps left between the cladding panels. Made from aspen, our palest sauna timber with a uniform, straight grain and few to no knots, it matches aspen cladding cleanly or adds a light accent against a darker wood. Each moulding measures 25 × 25 mm, comes in 2100 mm or 2400 mm lengths and is supplied in packs of four.

Timber
Aspen is our lightest sauna wood, with a uniform, straight grain and a colour that ranges from light brown to nearly white. It carries few to no knots and does not weep resin, one of the reasons for its popularity in home saunas. For a bolder scheme, aspen mixes well with a darker timber.
Quality & Wastage
This is A-grade timber, characterised by its durability, freedom from knots and low risk of splintering. As a natural product, there is some colour variation between packs and batches. We recommend a wastage allowance of 15%, which also covers any risk of damage in transit.
Installation & Care
The SI moulding is fixed into the corners of the sauna space, around the edges of the ceiling and where the walls meet. Its rounded face covers any gaps left between cladding panels for a clean finish.
Brand
Thermory, founded in Estonia in 1997, is the world's largest manufacturer of thermally modified wood. Alongside its chemical-free thermally modified timber, it supplies a wide range of untreated sauna wood.
Ordering & Delivery
Timber orders travel on a palletised shipping service due to their size, and delivery may be a kerbside drop with handballing off the vehicle. A minimum order quantity of four packs may apply when mouldings are ordered on their own rather than as part of a larger bundle or pallet order. We normally ship lengths up to 2400 mm; if you need a shorter length than we stock, our cutting service can trim a longer piece for a small fee, with the off-cut added to the pallet. For longer lengths, cutting or advice on quantities, contact our team on +44 (0)20 8050 2895 or support@finnmarksauna.com.
