Are the doors suitable for use in an outdoor sauna?

Yes, our sauna doors can be used for outdoor saunas, though they are primarily designed for indoor use. For outdoor installations, we recommend using aluminium frames, especially in seaside environments, due to their durability and resistance to moisture.

Wooden-framed doors are also suitable for outdoor use but require more regular maintenance. To ensure their longevity, treat the wooden frames with a water- or moisture-repellent product, such as Supi Sauna Wax by Tikkurila. Additionally, oiling the hinges at least twice a year is essential to maintain their functionality and protect against the elements.

For added protection in areas prone to strong winds, secure the doors with a heavy object in front or use a latch mechanism to prevent accidental damage.
