Description
Thermory's STP cladding in western red cedar gives sauna walls and ceilings a refined, gently rounded finish. The tongue and groove boards are 15 mm thick and 140 mm wide, with an effective width of 130 mm, and come in packs of six in 2150 mm or 2450 mm lengths. Narrow grooves and rounded edges give the installed surface a softer appearance than the Kallio or STS4 profiles, while grooves behind each board let condensed steam drain down to the floor.

Timber
Western red cedar is a premium softwood with a recognisable, beautiful scent and colouring that ranges from rich dark brown with red undertones to a creamy beige. Its distinguishable grain pattern gives saunas and other interiors a distinctive character, and its antifungal and heat-resistant properties help it last for years.
Profile
The STP profile offers an elegant wall surface with narrow gaps between each cladding board. Its rounded front edges can give a softer appearance than the Kallio or STS4 profiles, and it is also suitable for interior finishes beyond the sauna. Like all our cladding profiles, STP boards can be combined with other options to achieve your own look.
Quality & Wastage
This cedar is A-grade quality: durable, knot-free and with a low risk of splintering. As a natural product, timber shows some colour variation between packs and batches. We recommend a wastage allowance of 20% for cedar cladding, which also accounts for any damage that can occur in transit. Contact us if you are unsure how much your build requires.
Installation & Care
The tongue and groove design makes the boards straightforward to fit and well suited to a DIY sauna build. An Installation and Maintenance Guide for our sauna wood cladding is available in the Downloadable Files section of this page.
Ordering & Delivery
Timber orders travel on a palletised shipping service, with costs calculated at checkout and varying between UK Mainland, Highland and Island postcodes; deliveries may be kerbside and can require handballing off the vehicle. Lengths beyond 2400 mm, including the 2450 mm option, can carry significantly higher shipping costs, which the calculator at checkout will show. If you need a shorter length than we hold in stock, our cutting service can cut a full-length board down for a small fee, with the off-cut added to the pallet. For advice on sizes, quantities or delivery, contact support@finnmarksauna.com or call +44 (0)20 8050 2895.
