Description
Everflex Fire Mate is a grey acrylic intumescent sealant that swells to more than 150% of its original size when exposed to temperatures above 125 °C, closing joints against the passage of fire and smoke. In certain joint configurations it achieves a fire rating of up to four hours, tested to EN 1366-4 (2006) and EN 1366-3 (2009). It needs no primer on most construction substrates, stays permanently flexible, is easy to apply and tool off, and is tack free in 15 minutes. Once cured it can be overpainted, and it also offers excellent acoustic performance, rated to BS EN ISO 140/3.
