Description
The Saunakko is a compact Finnish soapstone crucible from Hukka Design, made for diffusing sauna scents through the hot room. Set it among the stones on your heater, add a few drops of your chosen scent, and the stone does the rest. Soapstone holds heat exceptionally well, so the aroma evaporates gently across the whole of your session rather than burning off at once. Pour a little water into the crucible and it will softly boil over, giving a longer lasting and more pleasant steam. At 55 × 60 mm it sits neatly between the stones, and each piece is carved from 100% authentic Finnish soapstone in Tuupovaara, north-eastern Finland. Sauna scents are sold separately.

Using the diffuser
Place the diffuser among the stones on your sauna heater and add a few drops of any sauna scent. Scents such as eucalyptus, carried on the steam, may help ease congestion and clear the sinuses. Pouring water into the crucible lets it gently boil over, creating a longer lasting and more pleasant steam.
Safety
Do not place Hukka products in direct contact with an electric heating element. Take care when installing Hukka sauna fountains and make sure hot water will not hit anyone in the sauna.
