About this HUUM flue set

The HUUM chimney set is designed for rear-connection installations, where the flue is taken from the back of the heater, run through the wall, and then up.
This is HUUM's backside connection (rear exit) configuration. It suits wood burning sauna heater installations where the flue leaves the back of the stove and passes through the wall before rising on the outside. Because the flue exits at the rear rather than the top, the set uses a short, cuttable single-wall adapter in place of the taller single-wall run and elbow found in our standard through the wall set, which makes it a tidy choice for more compact rooms. On the heater itself, the top spigot used for a vertical connection is interchangeable with the blanking plate on the rear, allowing the flue outlet to be moved from the top to the back of the heater for this rear-exit configuration. The chimney set is compatible with all HUUM wood burning sauna heaters.

Please note that the HUUM sauna stove and flue must be installed by a chimney specialist.

Connecting the sauna stove with the chimney flue
The sauna stove must be connected to the chimney by a specialist. In this configuration the flue is connected at the rear of the sauna stove. When the rear connection is made with the HIVE Flow and HIVE Wood heaters, a section of the stone cage needs to be cut to make room for the connection. The sauna stove is connected to the chimney flue with special flue pipes that may be caulked with heat-resistant sealing rope, when necessary.
Curves of the elbows of the connection pipes must be smooth to minimise draught loss. The pipe is inserted through the wall of the chimney and then sealed with mineral wool. The flue gases of the stove must be directed into a separate flue. It is forbidden to use a common flue that is utilised with other furnaces.
As specified by HUUM, utilisation of forced extract ventilation might cause problems with air exchange of the room and insufficiency of furnace combustion air; therefore, designing and constructing such ventilation systems is permitted only on the sole responsibility of a licensed specialist.
