Thermory's ready-made aspen backrest brings a finished, comfortable edge to almost any sauna bench arrangement. It is designed for integrating LED sauna lighting, so adding a soft backlit glow during installation is straightforward. Aspen is a pale, straight-grained timber, ranging from light brown to nearly white with few to no knots, and it does not weep resin in the heat of the sauna. Each backrest is 28 mm thick and 300 mm wide, and comes in a choice of two lengths: 2050 mm or 2350 mm.

Aspen is Thermory's lightest sauna wood, with a uniform, straight grain and a colour ranging from light brown to nearly white. It carries few to no knots and does not weep resin, one of the reasons for its popularity in home saunas. For a bolder look, aspen pairs well with a darker timber.

Timber orders travel on a palletised shipping service and may require a kerbside drop. Lengths beyond 2400 mm carry significantly higher shipping costs; where a shorter length would suit, our cutting service can cut a stocked length down for a small fee, with the off-cut added to the pallet.
