Thermory's ready-made thermo aspen backrest brings a finished, comfortable edge to almost any sauna bench arrangement. It is designed for integrating LED sauna lighting, so adding a soft backlit glow during installation is straightforward. Thermo aspen is heat-treated to reduce moisture in the timber, giving a tough, rot-resistant structure that releases no resin in the heat, along with a honey-brown colour, a toasted scent and a straight, knot-free grain. Each backrest is 28 mm thick and 300 mm wide, and comes in a choice of two lengths: 2050 mm or 2350 mm.

Timber
Thermo aspen is created by heat-treating the soft timber. The natural heat treatment reduces moisture levels in the wood, giving it a tough, rot-resistant structure that does not secrete resin in the high temperatures and humidity of a sauna. It has a pleasant, toasted scent, a honey-brown colouration and a straight, knot-free grain.

Timber orders travel on a palletised shipping service and may require a kerbside drop. Lengths beyond 2400 mm carry significantly higher shipping costs; where a shorter length would suit, our cutting service can cut a stocked length down for a small fee, with the off-cut added to the pallet.
