Description
Thermory's thermo aspen sauna floor grid is a safe, easy-care finishing touch for tiled sauna floors. It is a loose-lay panel rather than fixed flooring: designed to be lifted regularly for airing and cleaning, which helps prevent waterlogging and warping. Thermo aspen is heat-treated to reduce moisture in the timber, giving a tough, rot-resistant structure that releases no resin in the heat and humidity of the sauna, along with a honey-brown colour, a toasted scent and a straight, knot-free grain. This panel measures 800 × 900 mm at 14 mm thick, and further sizes are available separately.

Timber
Thermo aspen is created by heat-treating the soft timber. The natural heat treatment reduces moisture levels in the wood, giving it a tough, rot-resistant structure that does not secrete resin in the high temperatures and humidity of a sauna. It has a pleasant, toasted scent, a honey-brown colouration and a straight, knot-free grain.
Using the floor grid
These floor grids are non-fixed panels, designed to be lifted easily for regular airing and cleaning to help prevent waterlogging and warping. They are not intended for permanent installation or for use as fixed flooring.
