Description
Thermory's KA moulding is a versatile trim that opens up options in a sauna's interior joinery. It looks much like a cladding board without the tongue and groove, and its rounded front edges give it a tidy appearance across a range of applications. Use it to join lengths of cladding on the sauna walls, either in a matching timber for a seamless result or in a contrasting one as a deliberate design feature. Each moulding is 14 mm thick and 60 mm wide, supplied in 2400 mm lengths in packs of five, milled from heat-treated thermo aspen with a honey-brown colour and a straight, knot-free grain.

Timber
Thermo aspen is created by heat-treating soft timber. The treatment reduces the wood's moisture content, giving it a tough, rot-resistant structure that releases no resin in the heat and humidity of a sauna. It has a honey-brown colouration, a pleasant, toasted scent and a straight, knot-free grain, which makes it an easy timber to keep looking its best.
Quality & Wastage
This thermo aspen is A-grade: durable, knot-free and with a low risk of splintering. We recommend a 15% wastage allowance, which also covers the small risk of damage in transit. Contact us if you are unsure how much you need for your build.
Brand
Thermory AS, founded in Estonia in 1997, is the largest manufacturer of thermally modified wood in the world, known for fully natural, chemical-free heat-treated timber.
Ordering & Delivery
Timber orders travel on a palletised shipping service owing to their size, and may require a kerbside drop or handballing off the vehicle. Costs are calculated at checkout by order size and quantity, and differ between UK Mainland, Highland and Island postcodes. We normally ship lengths up to 2400 mm; beyond that, shipping costs rise significantly. If we stock a longer length than you need, our cutting service can cut a full-length board down for a small fee, with the off-cut added to the pallet. For longer lengths, the cutting service, or advice on sizes and quantities, call +44 (0) 20 8050 2895 or email support@finnmarksauna.com.
