The Thermory SI moulding is a corner trim in thermo aspen that gives a sauna interior a clean, finished edge. Fixed into the corners of the room and around the edges of the ceiling, its small concave face sits neatly on the cladding and covers any gaps where the panels meet the corner. Corner mouldings are easily overlooked in DIY builds, yet they are the finishing touch that pulls a sauna together. Each pack contains four lengths measuring 14 mm by 30 mm by 2400 mm, in heat-treated aspen with a straight, knot-free grain and a warm honey-brown colour. Please note that a minimum order of four packs may apply when the moulding is bought on its own rather than as part of a larger timber order.

Timber
Thermo aspen is created by heat-treating soft timber. The treatment reduces the moisture content of the wood, giving it a tough, rot-resistant structure that does not secrete resin in the high temperatures and humidity of a sauna. The grain is straight and knot-free, the scent pleasantly toasted and the colour a warm honey-brown.
Fitting the moulding
The SI moulding is fixed into the corners of the sauna space: around the edges of the ceiling and in the corners where the walls meet. Its inward-facing edges create a smooth finish, and the small concave face sits neatly on the cladding to cover any gaps between the panels and the corner of the room. Quality and wastage
This timber is A-grade quality, characterised by durability and a low risk of splintering. We recommend a wastage allowance of 15%, which also accounts for the risk of damage in transit. Contact us if you are unsure how much you require for your build.

Lengths of up to 2400 mm ship at standard rates, while longer lengths cost significantly more. If you need a shorter length than we stock, our cutting service can trim a longer board to size for a small fee, with the off-cut added to the pallet. Please note that a minimum order quantity (4 packs of 4) may apply when the moulding is ordered as a standalone item rather than as part of a larger bundle or pallet order, so that shipping costs are covered effectively.
