Description
Our STP sauna cladding in thermo pine is a refined tongue and groove board for the walls and ceiling of your sauna, and equally suited to other interior finishes. The profile has narrow grooves and rounded front edges that create a soft finish once installed, while the grooves behind each board let condensed steam run down and drain to the floor. Thermo pine carries a charming golden-brown tone produced by heat treatment, which also makes the wood more durable and removes the resin, so there is no risk of weeping from the knots; brushed, it takes on an aged, rustic character. Each board is 15 mm thick and 88 mm wide with an effective coverage of 78 mm, and one pack contains six boards in your choice of 2,100 mm or 2,400 mm lengths. We recommend a 20% wastage allowance when ordering.

Timber
Thermo pine has a charming, natural golden-brown tone that is the result of heat treatment. The process makes the wood more durable and removes the resin, so there is no risk of weeping from the knots. It can be used to good effect when brushed, creating an aged wood effect for a rustic look.
Profile
The STP profile offers an elegant wall surface with narrow gaps between each cladding board. Its rounded front edges give a softer appearance than the Kallio or STS4 profiles, and like all our cladding profiles, STP boards can be combined with other options to achieve your own look.
Quality & Wastage
Our thermo pine sauna timber is A-grade: durable, knot-free and with a low risk of splintering. We recommend a wastage allowance of 20% for this cladding, which also allows for any damage in transit. As a natural product, timber shows some colour variation between packs and batches.
