This movable bench step by Thermory adds a ready-made pair of steps to almost any sauna bench arrangement. It is built from thermo aspen, a heat-treated timber with a tough, rot-resistant structure that releases no resin in the heat and humidity of the sauna, a straight, knot-free grain and a warm honey-brown colour. The element measures 700 mm by 700 mm, with the lower step at 260 mm and the upper at 500 mm, and simply sits in place, which makes it ideal for DIY projects. For a fully bespoke bench system, our bench fabrication service builds to order.

Timber
Thermo aspen is created by heat-treating soft timber. The treatment reduces the moisture content of the wood, giving it a tough, rot-resistant structure that does not secrete resin in the high temperatures and humidity of a sauna. The grain is straight and knot-free, the scent pleasantly toasted and the colour a warm honey-brown.
Ready-made bench elements
Our ready-made bench modules are a practical, budget-friendly option for DIY sauna projects. For a high-quality, bespoke bench system made from market-leading materials, consider our bench fabrication service.
Brand
Thermory, founded in Estonia in 1997, is the largest manufacturer of thermally modified wood in the world. Its thermal modification is fully natural and chemical-free, and its sauna range spans both thermally modified and untreated timbers.
Ordering and delivery
Timber orders are typically shipped on a palletised service and may require a kerbside drop or handballing off the vehicle; shipping is calculated at checkout and differs between UK Mainland, Highland and Island postcodes. Lengths of up to 2400 mm ship at standard rates, while longer lengths cost significantly more. If you need a shorter length than we stock, our cutting service can trim a longer board to size for a small fee, with the off-cut added to the pallet. For longer lengths, our cutting service or advice on quantities, call +44 (0) 20 8050 2895 or email support@finnmarksauna.com.
